TU Dublin Pioneers First Tertiary Degree with Direct Applications
This initiative is part of the Tertiary Education Pathways programme, designed to create seamless transitions from further to higher education.
“With communications and media production modules and applied modules on politics, society and media, it has common ground with an undergrad PR degree, albeit leaning into public affairs,” says Dr Keving Hora. MPRII, Head of Discipline, Journalism and Communications, School of Media.
The new degree, offered in partnership with Education and Training Boards (ETBs) across Ireland, allows students to begin their studies locally at an ETB and progress to complete their degree at TU Dublin. This flexible, learner-focused model aims to widen access to higher education, particularly for those who may not have considered university a viable option.
Applications are now open directly through the TU Dublin website, marking a significant shift in how students can access third-level education in Ireland.
