TU Dublin Announces Call for Papers for the Fourth Annual SymPRandA Symposium2026
This year’s symposium, themed “Credibility, Content and AI: Rethinking PR Practices,” will bring together scholars, doctoral researchers and communications practitioners to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming public relations and public affairs.
As AI increasingly generates content, predicts public sentiment and automates elements of communication strategy, new questions are emerging about authenticity, accountability and trust in public communication. SymPRandA 2026 aims to provide a platform for critical discussion on the opportunities and challenges presented by AI-driven communications.
The organisers are inviting submissions that address a wide range of topics, including:
- AI-generated communication and authenticity
- Ethics, accountability and responsibility in automated communications
- Deepfakes, synthetic media and misinformation
- Platform power and algorithmic governance
- The future of communications labour
- AI literacy and communications education
Submission Details
- Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit 300–400 word abstracts for 15–20 minute papers.
