Griffith College Honours Joe Duffy

Griffith College celebrated one of the country’s most respected voices in broadcasting, Joe Duffy, at its annual graduation ceremony last.

The renowned broadcaster was awarded the College’s Distinguished Fellowship Award in recognition of his exceptional contribution to public service in Ireland.

Joe Duffy, a household name for generations of Irish radio listeners, has long been synonymous with the best traditions of radio broadcasting. His work has consistently provided a platform for public dialogue, giving voice to countless Irish people and shaping national conversations over decades.

The Distinguished Fellowship Award is reserved for individuals who have made a significant international contribution to Ireland across diverse fields. Previous recipients include Nobel Prize-winning poet Seamus Heaney, former President of Ireland Mary McAleese, and celebrated rugby coach Joe Schmidt.
