ConversationsFest25: A weekend discussion of how public relations shapes for its future

The event has set itself the challenge to “find the change we need for communicators in a diverse world." 

The contributors, including Dr. Johanna Fawkes from Leeds Beckett University, will be exploring the Deep Adaptation Agenda for PR practice, and Canadian Public Relations Society researchers Terry Flynn, Colleen Killingsworth, and Kim Blanchette will be presenting fresh insights on public trust and professional ethics.

Conversations Fest is being convened by former PRII President Padraig McKeon, very much a Sligo man, and creativity champion Andy Green, MPRII, who many will know from his PRII training workshops.

The programme combines high-level panels with breakout sessions across an eclectic mix of local venues, and the format prioritises discussion and exchange over ‘presentation’, ensuring that everyone attending is part of the knowledge that will be developed over the two days.

Beyond professional development, participants can expect a few evenings of Sligo's renowned hospitality, with evening entertainment complementing the weekend's intensive learning experience.
