The latest JNLR/Ipsos report into radio listening was published on 6th November 2025

The JNLR/Ipsos Report shows that 3.48 million listeners tune into radio every day with audiences in the past week stand at 90.4% of the population.  The report shows a large majority of adults 79% (down 0.2%) listen to the radio every day and shows that over a half 52.4% (down 0.1%) tune into their local or regional stations, and that 42.1% (down 0.7%) listen to a national station. 

Local and regional stations remain central throughout the country, achieving its highest share in Cork (63.1%), in the North-West (61.8%) and in the South-West (61.0%) regions of the country, whilst in Dublin (55.7%)  and the Dublin commuter belt (56.1%) national radio holds the majority share position. 

The survey is conducted by Ipsos B&A on behalf of JNLR and commissioned by national, regional, and local stations along with AAI, IAPI, and Coimisiún na Meán surveyed approximately 16,750 people.
