PRII welcomes new CEO

Laura Wall (pictured) will take on the role of CEO from September 2025. A long-standing PRII member and former Vice President of the PRII National Council, Laura is widely recognised for her dynamic leadership and future-focused approach. With 16 years of agency experience across the UK and Ireland, she has built a strong reputation in brand and consumer PR. Recently named among DMG Media’s Top 40 Under 40 PR Professionals, Laura joins the PRII from THINKHOUSE, where she served as Group Director on the PR and Advocacy team for the last five and a half years - delivering high-impact campaigns for multiple brands across a mix of sectors.

Her expertise in strategic leadership and innovation aligns with PRII’s mission to champion ethics, creativity, and sustainability in communications. 

Joining her in shaping the future of PRII is Robert Farrell, who was appointed Head of Training and Development in June; many of you may have already met him at events and courses. 

With over a decade of experience in education and programme design, Robert has worked with leading academic institutions and global organisations, bringing a deep understanding of strategic planning, digital transformation, and professional development to the role. 

Speaking about her appointment, Laura Wall said:

I look forward to working with our members, partners, the National Council and executive team to shape the future of communications in Ireland and beyond. At the heart of this will be delivering our five-year VISTA Strategy with real impact. My focus is on getting down to work; delivering for our members, fostering a culture of purpose and professional growth, and ensuring PRII continues to set the standard for our industry. Warm congratulations to Robert on his appointment as Head of Training and Development. Together, with the Council and executive team, we are ready to unlock PRII’s next chapter; championing ethics, creativity, collaboration and impact every step of the way.” 

PRII President Paul Hand welcomed the appointments, saying:

An outstanding PR practitioner with a strong track record of achievement, Laura will bring energy, passion, curiosity and creativity to her new role. In another key appointment, I’m also thrilled to have Robert on board and welcome the experience and expertise he brings to the Institute’s training and development offerings. Building on the PRII’s current strength, we look forward to working with Laura, Robert and the team to deliver for the members we serve, as well as the wider sector.”
