Digital Ireland: Government Unveils Ambitious New Strategy to 2030
This update marks one of the most significant digital roadmaps ever undertaken in the State.
The strategy lays out Ireland’s vision to remain a global digital leader by 2030, building on our strong reputation as a tech hub, our innovation ecosystem, and a highly skilled workforce. It outlines five strategic ambitions: Apply, Grow, Invest, Lead, and Empower, supported by 20 high‑level objectives and 90 concrete deliverables across areas such as digital public services, enterprise innovation, digital and AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, online safety, and skills development.
Key measures include:

The Government emphasises both the opportunities and the risks of rapidly evolving AI technologies, highlighting new commitments to privacy, safety, regulatory alignment, and workforce resilience.
