Call for Organisations to Participate in MA Public Relations Internship Programme

TU Dublin Announces Call for Organisations to Participate in MA Public Relations Internship Programme

The Master’s in Public Relations in TU Dublin, the oldest postgraduate PR programme in Ireland, invites organisations to participate in its student internships, offering the opportunity to work with highly motivated MA Public Relations students while supporting the development of future communications professionals.

The internship provides inhouse and agency organisations with access to skilled Public Relations and Communications interns for 120 hours, delivered flexibly to suit organisational needs. Students gain academic credit for the internship, and there is no requirement for payment.

Interns will be competent to support a range of communications activities, including drafting press releases, conducting media monitoring, creating digital content, and assisting with campaign planning and stakeholder engagement. This hands-on experience allows students to apply academic learning in real-world contexts while contributing to organisational communication objectives.

Host organisations are asked to provide supervision and informal feedback, with no formal assessment responsibilities required: students submit a reflective report to TU Dublin  that links theory to practice and demonstrates their professional development.

Students participating in the programme bring strong communication skills, creativity, and initiative, along with a keen interest in media, digital communications, and stakeholder engagement.

For organisations, the internship offers:

  • Access to motivated postgraduate talent
  • Support across communication and content projects
  • Fresh perspectives on storytelling and engagement
  • An opportunity to contribute to professional education

TU Dublin welcomes expressions of interest from organisations across sectors interested in supporting this initiative.
