Senior PR and Communications Executive

Q4PR, Ireland’s leading strategic communications agency, is seeking to recruit a motivated Senior PR and Communications Executive to help support the development and implementation of a communications and public affairs for a transformational public transport capital project.
The new recruit will be a core member of a dynamic and flexible team helping to roll out a transformative initiative which will improve public transport and address climate change in Dublin and other cities across Ireland.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the planning and delivery of large-scale stakeholder events and engagement activities, including media briefings, public events, campaign launches, and stakeholder forums.
- Undertake stakeholder mapping and support the implementation of stakeholder engagement programmes to build and maintain strong relationships with key audiences.
- Draft engaging communications materials across a range of channels including social media, digital content, briefing documents, newsletters, brochures, consultation materials and press releases.
- Assist in the management and promotion of social media channels, including content planning, monitoring, and analysis, identifying opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
- Act as a point of contact for external suppliers and partners, including advertising, design, media, and digital agencies, ensuring that internal and external outreach projects are delivered to a high standard and deadlines are met.
- Support media relations activities, including preparing media materials, monitoring coverage, and identifying opportunities to promote client initiatives and campaigns.
- Maintain a strong awareness of political, policy and regulatory developments relevant to client campaigns and communications activities.
- Contribute ideas and insights that enhance brand reputation, strengthen messaging, and support the successful delivery of communications objectives.
- Provide regular monitoring updates and reporting on campaign implementation, social media activity, and stakeholder engagement activities.
KEY EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years' experience in communications, public affairs, public relations, or a related field.
- Agency or in-house public affairs, communications or PR experience desirable.
- Relevant third-level qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or a related discipline.
- Ability to commence employment swiftly an advantage.
SKILLS:
- Self-motivated, proactive and capable of taking ownership of assigned projects and tasks.
- Excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent understanding of social media, digital communications, and their role in stakeholder engagement.
- Strong digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and media monitoring platforms such as Mention.
- Event management experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of the Irish political, policy, and public affairs landscape.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Enthusiastic, ambitious, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced agency environment.
