PRIIMark Little surprised many of us when he announced his intention last autumn to take a year’s leave of absence from RTÉ and Prime Time, which he has co-anchored since 2002, to pursue a project combining digital media and global journalism.

The online news evangelist plans to harvest the “wisdom in the crowd” as opposed to the “wisdom of the crowd” by using computer technology to sift through the vast amounts of information being generated daily.
