Tips for creating the winner's video
Your chance to shine on the big screen (literally)!
Here are some tips on recording the clip: -
- How do I record it? You don’t have to be Steven Spielberg! Just use your smartphone or tablet – or the webcam on your laptop/PC
- What shall I say? Just tell us why your campaign was special or important and what impact it had. Don’t forget to mention your company name and/or client and anyone else who needs a quick mention. By the way, don’t turn it into an ‘acceptance speech’ – that’ll look weird when everyone knows you couldn’t have known if you’d won when you recorded it and we may not be able to use it.
- How long should the clip be? Sorry folks – it’s not the Oscars, so please keep it to 60 seconds or under – that’s about 180 words. And, so nothing gets forgotten, it’s best to write yourself a short script or bullet points. Any videos over the minute will be returned to be reedited and reduced to under a minute.
- Where shall I send it to? When it’s finished e-mail the MP4 file to [email protected] including your name, organisation and contact details, with the campaign name and category in the subject line.
- When will we know if we’ve won? In the Conrad Hotel, Earlsfort Terrace during the ceremony on Friday 12 September.
- When do you need the video by? The absolute deadline is noon, Friday 22 August.
Remember when the ceremony is finished to use your video on your socials whether you are a Winner or Highly Commended.
