The Role:
- EY Ireland is seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate to join our Corporate Communications team (as part of our external communications team)
- The successful candidate will join a fun, hardworking, collaborative and successful team, helping us to deliver high impact media releases and messaging across a wide range of campaigns and media projects.
- The successful applicant will be curious, have excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail, a creative flair and will be very well organised. They will be capable of working on their own initiative, and as part of a team, and they will enjoy working in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- This role will be based at EY Ireland’s office in Dublin 2.
Your key responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of external communication strategies to enhance the firm's reputation and visibility.
- Help prepare and coordinate communications materials including press releases, reactive media commentary, articles for media placement, etc
- Engage with national, regional and trade media daily regarding EY coverage.
- Assist in the planning and execution of media events, including photocalls and press briefings.
- Monitor media coverage and provide analysis and reports to senior management.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Communications team
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- At least 2 years of experience in journalism, PR agency or in house communications
- A curious mind and a passion for media in all its forms – from national and international publications, through to regional and trade media.
- Good media relations skills and ideally a network of media contacts.
- Proven ability to contribute creative ideas to the team in campaign planning and in the creation of content.
- Compelling written and verbal communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people at all levels across all areas of the business.
- Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines as required.
- An interest in and experience of leveraging technology to work efficiently.
Ideally, you will also have:
- 3rd level qualification and/or relevant professional qualifications
- Previous experience in an organisation of significant scale
- Experience working with Generative AI (for example Microsoft Copilot)
