PRII Fellows 2023 announced

Three PRII Fellowships were presented on 7 December at a reception in Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Dublin 2, to mark the occasion. 

This year’s recipients are Florence White, Head of Local Authority Engagement, Uisce Éireann; Martyn Rosney, Partner, Reputation Inc; and Patrick King,  Director of Membership and Public Affairs, Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI). 

A Fellow of the PRII is recognised as a leader in the public relations and communications profession, having made a notable contribution to the development of the profession. The Fellowship process is a competitive selection. Nominations must be approved by the PRII National Council and Fellowship Sub-Committee. The PRII Fellowship Committee is led by Ita Gibney, FPRII (Life) and includes Nandi O’Sullivan, MPRII; Shannon Group plc; Bernard Harbor, FPRII (Life), and Dr Karl Anderson, MPRII, Communications Consultant, and members of the PRII National Council. 

Florence White

Florence is a qualified Environmental Scientist and has over 20 years of experience as a senior communications professional in the public and semi-state sectors in Ireland.  Florence has been a long-standing member of the PRII, having served on the National Council for two terms and has twice served as Vice-President.  She has also been a member of the Judging Panel for the Public Relations Awards for Excellence since 2015, a Guest Speaker at many PRII formal training courses and shared her expertise as a Guest Lecturer on DCU’s MSc in Strategic Communications.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Martyn Rosney

Martyn is a Partner with Reputation Inc, and works in all areas of corporate reputation management for his Irish and international clients in the financial services, FMCG, public sector, political, retail, consumer goods, professional services, pharma and tech sectors. He was the inaugural winner of the PRII/PRCA/CIPR Young Communications Professional of the Year for Ireland. He was also the first Irish-based professional to feature on PR Week UK’s 30 Under 30. Martyn has been a long-standing member of the PRII, having served on the National Council.

 

Patrick King

Patrick King has over 20 years of experience in strategic communication, public affairs and public relations. He is the Director of Membership & Public Affairs at the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI). Throughout his career, he has delivered large-scale public affairs campaigns and developed strategic communication plans to further organisational objectives. He has particularly excelled at representing professional bodies and business groups to key political stakeholders, helping to influence policy. Additionally, he has been a long-standing member of the PRII, having served on the National Council.
