About The Role: 

The Communications team is part of the Corporate Affairs function. We are focused on influencing stakeholder behaviour in support of Kerry’s brand, reputation, culture and business vision, strategies, and priorities. We are a dynamic, results-focused function, supporting an ambitious company and growth agenda. The roles available are highly visible and will contribute significantly to our globally connected, locally-led team. 
 
As Senior Manager for Media & Public Relations at Kerry, you will be responsible for helping the global communications team shape and maintain Kerry’s public image as a world leader in sustainable nutrition, by managing media relations in the dynamic and competitive global food and beverage industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the global media landscape, and build relationships, with a proven track record to create impactful communication strategies and campaigns to drive our business forward. 
 
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious communication professional, with experience in business-to-business communication in an international organization. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, expertise in the utilization of various communications channels and should possess excellent organizational and time management competencies. 
 
Kerry operates a hybrid working policy and for this role, you will be based at our Global Technology Innovation Centre in Naas. 
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Plan and execute comprehensive PR and media strategies to drive brand recognition and positive coverage.  
  •  Creation and management of a PR plan and calendar, including budgets, timelines, etc.  
  •  Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, interview requests, and media-related issues.  
  •  Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits and other materials to promote company initiatives and product launches.  
  •  Collaborate cross-functionally to align PR efforts with global and regional marketing campaigns.  
  •  Ensure all PR content aligns with the company's brand messaging, purpose, and values.  
  •  Identify opportunities for thought leadership and industry participation, including speaking engagements and awards submissions.  
  •  Assist in crisis communication plans and help mitigate potential PR crises.  
  •  Monitor media coverage to evaluate the effectiveness of current PR strategies.  
  •  Provide regular reports and analysis of media and public relations efforts to the management team.  
  •  Track current events and social trends to identify opportunities to execute strategy  
  •  Understand Kerry's business priorities, brand story, and industry trends to write, develop and produce compelling, concise and audience-relevant communications 

What do I need to be successful? 

In Kerry, we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. In order to be successful in this role we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment. 
 
These Include:

  •  Experience within a similar role in a corporate organisation or creative/media agency is essential, ideally with experience in a B2B environment.  
  •  Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field  
  •  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.  
  •  Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.  
  •  Effective project and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.  
  •  Proficiency in campaign delivery and monitoring across various channels, including print, digital, video and broadcast media.  
  •  Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and a second language are an advantage.
