The role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Client Manager in Public Affairs to join our team. The Senior Client Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic public affairs campaigns, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and working closely with other team members including executive directors, client managers and client executives. This role requires a deep understanding of the Irish political landscape, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public affairs strategies and campaigns to advance clients' interests and objectives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic counsel on public policy matters and navigating regulatory landscapes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers in the public and private sectors.
  • Monitor and analyse legislative and regulatory developments and provide timely updates to clients.
  • Work with the public affairs team, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within government, political parties, industry associations, and other relevant organizations.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, briefings, and reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Represent clients at meetings, conferences, and public events, advocating for their interests effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues in public affairs.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in public affairs, government relations, or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Irish political landscape, legislative processes, and public policy issues.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful public affairs strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities, with a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work within a team effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues and provide strategic advice.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
