This leadership role will centre on day to day management of several key client relationships and account teams, delivering the highest level of media and communications advice and service to clients, in line with our firm’s strong ethos of helping clients to meet their business objectives. The successful candidate will have agency or in-house experience and will have played a leadership role on large corporate accounts / campaigns across a range of sectors.

An individual in this role at Hume Brophy is treated as a leader in the organisation and will typically manage client relationships and internal teams for key accounts, oversee work flow and processes, and grow accounts and new business as they help steward the growth of Hume Brophy.

Key responsibilities are not limited to but include:  

  • Act as main point of contact for a portfolio of clients reporting to the Managing Director of the Irish business;
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients’ core sectors in order to provide strategic counsel on campaign strategies, messaging and tactics;
  • Contribute to and cultivate new business development opportunities;
  • Assist in targeted marketing of the company to corporate audiences;

Key requirements include:

  • Strong experience gained in previous agency / in-house role;
  • Strong media relationships and experience engaging with Irish and international media;
  • A strong understanding of the Irish political and media landscape and significant practical experience in these areas;
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in liaising / working with large Irish and international corporates.
  • Team player mentality with ability to motivate and drive a team of experienced professionals, along with experience working in a team environment with strong communication skills and excellent report writing ability;
  • Ability to think independently and creatively; and
  • Excellent attitude and highly-motivated with ability to work both independently and within strict deadlines
