A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, energetic and persuasive Publicist to join our team. As a Publicist you will, under minimal supervision, independently develop and execute effective promotional campaigns for approximately 25 books each year.
A key member of the close-knit Marketing & Communications team, you will have a deep knowledge of, and a passion for understanding, the Irish media and consumer landscape, quickly identifying the most effective channels for promoting our titles and converting your ideas and plans into impactful coverage.
You will handle all aspects of a publicity campaign and remain calm under pressure as you juggle multiple books and campaign schedules, all the while nurturing author relationships and ensuring they are kept informed of plans and briefed on how to handle interviews.
With outstanding written and oral communication skills, you will have a proven track record in developing unique angles to create buzz and excitement, devising tailored promotion plans via eye-catching media pitches, creative copy-writing, events, digital marketing campaigns and through working with our key retail partners. Naturally enthusiastic and engaging, you will use your powers of persuasion to get researchers, producers, journalists and influencers excited about our titles. Acting as an ambassador for Gill Books, you will instinctively know what aspects of our books will get people’s attention.
