Policy and Communications Officer

Full time Permanent Role

Ruhama is an Irish NGO and registered charity that offers nationwide support to women affected by prostitution, sex trafficking and other forms of commercial sexual exploitation. Founded in 1989, our organisation has extensive expertise in providing a wide range of specialist, holistic support services. Our services are free, confidential and delivered by a committed and experienced team. Ruhama also advocates and engages in policy work on issues related to prostitution, sex trafficking and the experiences of the women we work with.

The Policy and Communications Officer is a vital and pivotal role at Ruhama, with responsibility for managing and developing all of the Policy and Communications strands of Ruhama’s work. Working closely with the Chief Executive, the post holder will be responsible for the development of internal and external policies on prostitution and related areas and for the management and implementation of a clear, strategic Communications policy as well as for leading out on regular high profile media campaigns.
