EIT Health achieves regional representation through Regional Innovation Hubs (RIH) and an InnoStars office in different cities around Europe. The Ireland-UK Regional Innovation Hub, is now looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern. 


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 
The Marketing and Communications Intern will support the Ireland-UK region during a time of commercial growth. EIT Health is a health innovation and technology membership organisation. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and self-motivated Marketing and Communications Intern to join our team. 
 
This opportunity would suit an ambitious postgraduate in Digital Marketing or PR/Communications who would be excited to work with a dynamic European health innovation organisation based in Ireland. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Plan and manage digital marketing campaigns for the Ireland-UK hub activities.
  • Monitor social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback. 
  • Assist with planning and hosting of events, webinars, attendance at trade events etc. 
  • Prepare copy and distribute digital monthly newsletters. 
  • Media coverage monitoring and reporting.
  • Digital reporting (website, direct mail, social media).
  • Create segmented media distribution lists. 
  • Support in the promotion and marketing of EIT Health innovation, education and accelerator programmes to key partners and the wider innovation ecosystem. 
  • Support the Communications Lead with media relations, assisting with the scheduling of media interviews and pitching story ideas. 
  • Support the preparation of marketing materials e.g. brochures, infographics, banners etc. 
  • Support the preparation of presentations. 
  • Updating EIT Health Ireland-UK website landing page. 
  • Perform market analysis and research. 
  • Managing agencies
  • Content planning
  • Assist with daily administrative duties. 
  • Support the wider team with ad-hoc tasks. 

 
PERSON SPECIFICATION 

  • Graduate with a degree in Marketing or PR/Communications 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and familiarity with commonly used tools e.g. social media platforms, WordPress, Mail Chimp, Canva etc.  
  • Experience in market research and analysis skills 
  • Proactive and highly skilled in planning and organisation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong time-management skills, ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work on own initiative 
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a valuable team player with personal integrity
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An open, positive attitude, and “can do” approach to working in a busy environment 
  • Experience working in a remote office based environment 

KEY SKILLS 

  • Intermediate level skill set in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word documents 
  • Social media and digital marketing skills

Hours:                    Up to full-time (40 hours)
Salary:                    €25,000.00 per annum, pro rata
