Position Summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a consultant to support our Dublin office, working with a range of domestic and international clients. As a consultant you will have the opportunity to learn and have exposure to a full range of strategic communications services including: performing industry research and analysis, executing corporate communications, media relations, investor relations and corporate governance activities.  As a global firm, the role will provide the opportunity for travel to other offices within our network.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting communications materials (e.g. writing press releases and briefing documents)
  • Compile, track, summarise and report on media coverage
  • Conduct background research on companies and topics
  • Assist with maintaining contact lists, editorial forward features lists, and event calendars
  • Provide support on corporate communications and media relations engagements (e.g. distributing press releases, providing support for events)
  • Assist with financial communications and investor relations engagements
  • Assist on new business initiatives (e.g. conducting research on prospects, creating and editing PowerPoint presentations and proposals, etc.)
  • Provide logistical support on client events and roadshows
  • Other ad hoc administrative tasks as necessary

Key Requirements

  • At least one year experience in a communications or public relations role
  • Third level degree
  • Evidence of excellent research, writing and organisation skills
  • Motivated and ambitious
  • Analytical approach to creating work product and improving client relationships
  • Social, enthusiastic and eager to learn with an ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
  • Competency in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint

Preferred Experiences

  • Business and/or communications or corporate governance related third level degree
  • Postgraduate degree
  • Knowledge of investor relations or corporate governance
  • Previous experience working with publicly listed companies
