The Director of Trinity Communications is responsible for enhancing how Trinity College Dublin communicates effectively with its own College community and externally at a local, national and international level.
The Director leads the Trinity Communications team and has responsibility for its strategic, creative, and operational output, as well as the development and coordination of a College-wide strategic communications plan.
The Director will engage proactively with multiple audiences/stakeholders including staff, students, the research community, alumni, media, government departments and agencies, philanthropic partners, European and other international institutions.
Reporting directly to the Provost, the Director is part of Trinity’s Senior Leadership Team.
This Senior Leadership role is a member of Trinity’s Executive Officers Group and is critical to the achievement of Trinity College Dublin’s strategic plans.
Own the delivery of Trinity’s Communications Strategic Plan and ensure alignment across multiple areas within Trinity’s complex organisational structure, as well as ownership of communications-relevant deliverables in the College’s overall Strategic Plan
A third-level qualification and/or a minimum of 10 years of professional experience at a senior level in communications/public affairs/reputation management media
This appointment will be made on the Senior Administrative 1 Salary Scale (€132,301 - €167,243) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
