Role & High-Level Responsibilities:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications Executive to join our in-house team and support on a wide variety of business priorities. You’ll be working with our dynamic and fast paced Communications Team who are dedicated to the positioning of Aramark Northern Europe, including managing the company’s reputation and promoting a favourable image of the company.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and Communications Manager of Aramark Northern Europe, this role will support on a wide range of internal and external communications activities. In addition to working with the in-house Communications team, the role will also work closely with the external PR agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of internal and external communication campaigns
  • Developing content for internal communications channels, social media, websites, newsletters, press releases, blogs, and other distribution channels
  • Liaising with key departments across the business to identify potential news angles with a view to generating positive press coverage for the business
  • Developing, managing and monitoring social media channels
  • Daily tracking of press coverage and flagging key articles or and any issues with the wider Communications team
  • Support on internal and external events
  • Acting as a key point of contact with our external PR agency
  • Engagement with key media contacts
  • Management of internal reports as well as reports for International Head Office
  • Support where required on general team administrative tasks

Reporting Lines:

  • Direct: Director of Communications, Northern Europe

Key Requirements, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure and operate in a reactive, fast-paced environment
  • Interested in a fast moving and dynamic business
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask
  • The candidate should work in a proactive manner and have a flexible approach to their work
  • An in-depth knowledge of the media landscape and key contacts
  • Ability to work independently on projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills – adapting to different forms of communication
  • Writing skills
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office and InDesign
  • Full drivers’ licence
