ABOUT turn2me:

Turn2me (www.turn2me.org / www.turn2me.ie) is a registered charity operating in the e-mental healthcare space, its goal is to provide low cost or no cost mental health support online to people all over Ireland. The organisation was founded in 2009 stemming from the very personal experiences of Oisin and Diarmuid Scollard, who lost their brother to suicide in 2003. They had the vision to create a space for people to get professional support online.  In 2013 turn2me gained the support of the HSE National Office for Suicide Prevention to deliver counselling online. In 2019 turn2me joined forces with ReachOut Ireland to create a space for young people to find information to support their mental health online. In 2020 turn2me extended services in a pilot programme directed at young people from age 12 with wrap around support for parents and guardians supported by the Department of Health's SlainteCare Integration Fund. The organisation adapted services to meet increased demand for mental health support as a direct result of the pandemic. The organisation is pivoting to reinvent itself to prepare for a post-pandemic world, meet the needs of vulnerable groups in Ireland to reduce the number of lives lost through suicide. It is built on a foundation of clinical and technological excellence so that services are delivered at the right time to those who need it most.
