Dublin Bus is currently recruiting for a Clerical Officer in our Media and Communications Department.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Media and Communications Manager in implementing company’s corporate communications priorities.

The role involves working closely with internal and external departments and agencies, as well as National Transport Authority (NTA), local, national and online media.

Salary:  €27,000 - €40,000 (depending on experience)

Our Media and Communications Department is responsible for all Consumer PR, Corporate communications, Corporate Responsibility, reputation management and media relations.

Role and purpose:

  • Support the Media and Communications Manager in implementing the company’s corporate communications priorities
  • Responsible for the administration of stakeholder and customer correspondence
  • Provide administrative support as required to the Media and Communications Executive, and Media and Communications Manager

Job Role / Key Responsibilities:

Summary areas of responsibility

Media Relations

  • Collate information for response to media queries on company issues
  • Collate media coverage and social media engagement statistics to assist in the preparation of reports
  • Identify opportunities for positive engagement and publicity across social media channels

Corporate Communications

  • Assist with implementing activities as per the company’s stakeholder engagement strategy
  • Assist with activation of company’s corporate communications plans
  • Assist with the development of company policy papers and submissions
  • Prepare corporate literature and collateral to distribute to stakeholders on company announcements
  • Assist with administration to ensure effective communication with stakeholders

General duties

  • Oversee and organise filming and photo shoot requests from external agencies
  • Assist with organising events, photo calls and PR opportunities
  • Liaise with photography agency on company photo shoots including devising concept ideas and facilitating technical logistics

Experience / Skills/ Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of social media is essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar role
  • Qualification in public relations/communications is essential
