Trinity Development & Alumni (TDA) leads on alumni engagement and fundraising for Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s highest ranked university. We are seeking two experienced and enthusiastic Alumni Relations Officers to join a team of experienced and motivated professionals who are building and supporting Trinity’s 130,000-strong alumni community.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities specified below are not intended to be exclusive or restrictive and flexibility in the allocation of specific duties will be required.

As Alumni Relations Officer, you will:

  1. Build and foster warm relationships with Trinity alumni and groups through a range of engagement programmes.
  2. Manage the Global Ambassador programme and relationships with the international chapters
  3. Manage the Mentoring and Internships programmes.
  4. Develop a research-led approach to tracking alumni worldwide.
  5. Develop and deliver on a strategy to successfully engage future alumni.
  6. Plan, record, measure and report on activity (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  7. Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time by line manager.

Please note that a willingness to travel will be a requirement in this role.

Required Experience & Skills:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Third-level qualification in marketing, PR, communications, events, or a related discipline.
  • Candidatesshould have aminimum of 3-5 years' experience in a busy working environment.
  • Programme management experience and evidence of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong computer skills - MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and versatile with computer communication applications, such as Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Publisher etc and with a good working knowledge of social media.
  • Experience with customer relationship management databases or equivalent would be advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Diligent, highly organised with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Motivated, flexible and ability to use own initiative.
  • Experience of structuring workload and timelines.
  • Understanding of, and passion for, the role and value of a university in society.

You will be offered a three-year contract and an attractive benefits package which includes 28 days annual leave (24 days annual leave entitlement plus four days over Christmas), annual salary increments, and a generous contribution to TDA’s pension scheme (providing for pension, life assurance and prolonged disability pension).
