We are looking to add to our Public Relations team by recruiting an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Account Manager. This role will be based in our offices at 5 Northumberland Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in communications or public relations and have at least four years' experience working in a PR / communications role, with a minimum of one year at Account Manager level, or equivalent. He/she will be a strategic thinker with strong media relations experience and a proven track record of managing clients to a high standard, as well as developing and implementing communications strategies.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Strategic communications planning, and leading the development and implementation of the client's communications strategy
  • Managing clients to a high standard and ensuring client communications objectives and deadlines are met
  • Proactive media relations and handling media queries on behalf of clients
  • Drafting presentations, speeches, press releases and opinion pieces
  • Input into social and digital content management strategies
  • Event management where required
  • Identifying and developing new projects and campaigns for the client
  • Working with the PR team to develop new business proposals

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least four years' experience in PR / communications with a minimum of one year working at Account Manager level, or equivalent
  • Experience working with public sector clients an advantage
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Experience of managing client accounts and priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail with impeccable writing skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong media contacts across a range of media
  • Willingness to develop in-depth knowledge about the client's business
  • Ability to anticipate client needs - being proactive, not reactive
  • Extensive knowledge of social media and online communications
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently, with a positive attitude
  • Interest in current affairs and an appetite to learn
