WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This workshop split over two mornings 23 & 30 November (10am to 12:30pm) will be practically focused and cover everything participants need to know to devise podcasts for their organisation or clients.

TOPICS COVERED

The workshop will cover:

• The podcasting landscape – size of the market, key drivers, and future predictions
• The opportunities that popularity of podcasting opens up for companies  
• The companies that are already doing it well, and what we can learn from them
• The three steps to branded-podcast success:
  1. Content: designing and mapping out a series that’s a win-win for your company and your audience. Learning how to interview guests.
  2. Recording: the equipment and software you will need, how to record and edit audio, and getting the episode on to iTunes, Spotify, Google podcasts etc
  3. Amplifying: How to build an audience using creativity, marketing technology, and sheer graft!  
• Measuring Success – knowing what success looks like from the start, tracking listenership, other measures of success. 

Given the practical focus of the workshops numbers attending will be capped at seven and participants will be required to undertake practical work during the two weeks between each session.

TRAINER

A content strategist, podcaster, radio producer, trainer, and speaker with over 20 years experience working in Radio, Television, and Digital Media Patrick founded AudioBrand to produce podcasts for business, devise content strategy and training programs, and give companies the tools they need to
get media exposure through clever pitching, cut-through content, and relationship-building.
 
Patrick is a former Senior Producer of Today FM’s hugely successful ‘Last Word’ programme with Matt Cooper and currently produces ‘Mario’s Sunday Roast’ with Mario Rosenstock on Today FM, All In for Joe.ie, and hosts and produces a number of branded podcast series including Voxpro Studios, dotLAB Radio (with DCU), and Orangeworks Insights.
