First Irish Person Becomes Chair-Elect of International PR Body

22 May 2018

Justin Green has become the first Irish Chair-Elect of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. He takes up the position in June this year.  The Global Alliance (GA) is a confederation of the world's public relations and communication management associations and institutions, representing 160,000 practitioners and academics around the world.

Justin is Vice-President of the PRII and previously served as PRII President.  He is a Life Fellow of the PRII and a Fellow of the Public Relations Society of Kenya and the African Public Relations Association.

Speaking following his election at The Global Alliance 16th Annual General Meeting in Oslo on 21 April, Justin said he was proud that Irish professionals continue to set PR standards globally.

“The PRII was a founding member of the Global Alliance in 2000, but no Irish person has ever been elected to the position of Chair-Elect.  I look forward to sharing the experience of Irish PR professionals with my global colleagues and acting as a bridge between best practice internationally and my peers in Ireland.”
