Awards for Excellence In PR 2022 Launch and Entrant Briefing

The Awards for 2022 were launched on 2 December with a briefing from the 2021 Judging Panel, led by Neasa Kane Fine, FPRII, Chair of the Judging Panel and Entries Auditor, Sheila Gahan, FPRII (Life). A separate session was also held for prospective entrants for The Young Communication Professional of the Year. Advice and tips were provided by 3 previous winners Phillip Costigan, 150bond; Niamh Breathnach, Alice PR and Louise Walsh, Drury.

Over 40 registered, which shows strong interest again in these Awards. Both sessions were recorded — you can see the videos of the event on the PRCA website here..

The 2022 Awards for Excellence in PR Brochure with all the details, is available now on the PRCA website HERE. The categories remain the same this year.

Top Tips:

  • Provide detailed information on target audiences, consider using personas.
  • Don’t leave out requested information eg sample media releases. Judges can’t give points for neglected sections.
  • Do not use AVEs as a form of Measurement.
  • Don’t assume any prior knowledge on the part of the Judges i.e. explain context of the work.
  • Be explicit about what is special, what is excellent, about your entry.

Key Dates:

  • Entry deadline: 8 March
  • Shortlist Announced: 18 May
  • Awards Ceremony: 24 June
