There was a very strong level of entries this year for the 2019 Awards or Excellence in Public Relations #PRAwards19. Entries to the competition which is jointly run by the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), PRII and CIPR Northern Ireland were on par with previous years, with the second highest number of organisations submitting campaigns this year, in the 26 year history of the awards.
Two new categories Best Issues-Led Campaign sponsored by RuePointMedia and Best Long-Term Campaign proved popular additions among entrants.
In all 65 campaigns have been shortlisted across 20 categories.

There is also evidence that the future of the PR profession looks promising with the number of entries for the Young Communications Professional of the Year category, sponsored by KantarMedia. Details of the shortlist for this category will be announced separately on 23rd May.
