The Irish Defence Forces have had to employ creative solutions to reach potential recruits and achieve their strategic objective of increasing the number of young women recruits.
The Cannes Silver Lion winning campaign which will be detailed on October 19th was a female focused recruitment campaign built on the premise that young women (18-24 year olds) were training for a career in the Defence Forces their whole lives, but they didn’t know it. Captain Ciara Ní Ruairc from the Defence Forces Press Office will detail the social media driven campaign, the strategies employed for targeting Gate Keepers as well as looking at the important role analytics played and highlight the the PR efforts that worked in tandem with the content driven campaign.
How does a global company with 6,200 employees across 32 countries embed a renewed purpose, vision and values among employees? Well also on October 19th you will be able to hear how Glanbia developed the ‘Glanbia Corporate Newsroom’ approach using editorial standards , practices and a journalistic mindset to communicate the strategic content. This involved setting up an editorial board and calendar; developing a set of analytics to capture feedback on an ongoing basis; and encouraging contributors from each business unit to think like a journalist and find stories to demonstrate the renewed purpose, vision and values.
This casestudy will outline how Glanbia used digital communications to best effect, implemented a method of creating compelling content for employees and were able to achieve a demonstrable shift in awareness and understanding across the company.
