The Social Media and Communications Executive will work in the Corporate Communications Unit, reporting to the Consumer Media Manager. The Corporate Communications Unit is responsible for communicating the work of the CCPC to the public and other stakeholders through media releases, publications, PR campaigns, social media and stakeholder engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the strategic delivery of the organisation’s consumer media and communications.
  • Manage the CCPC’s social media accounts to provide a regular flow of unique and creative content that is designed to maximise engagement and performance and grow and expand our online presence.
  • Develop and deliver creative and innovative social media content, including infographics, videos, imagery and blog content for use across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Monitor and measure the performance of CCPC social media activity and engagement, producing regular metrics and analytics reports.
  • Monitor social media and online forums to identify emerging trends and potential issues, and research and monitor activity of company competitors
  • Draft communications material, including online content for ccpc.ie, features and other ad hoc requests and provide administrative support to the wider Corporate Communications team.
  • Support the Consumer Media Manager to manage the administration of the consumer PR & social media budget.
  • Provide training and guidance on social media implementation best practices and strategies.
  • Proactively engage with teams across the Comms Division and wider business to source new, relevant and interesting content for publication.
  • Support the Internal Communications function, facilitating collaboration, engagement, feedback, and recognition among employees.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Essential Experience:

  • A third level qualification in a relevant discipline and one year’s experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably with a focus on communications.

OR

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced office environment, preferably with a focus on communications.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience of producing and drafting content.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of MS Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
