Against a background of reduced advertising budgets, communications and PR leaders have faced renewed scrutiny over performance of earned media activity to promote and protect their brands. On top of this they’ve also had to contend with understanding the impact of multiple lockdowns and adjusting their comms strategies accordingly.

In this two-part webinar series, we’ll share insights from Kantar’s recent ‘Media Navigator’ research into the Ireland media market, including findings from 1000+ in-house comms professionals and 1000+ members of the public.

Part 1 – Steps to smarter communications strategy – Why? Wednesday 14 July, 9.30-10.30am

In this webinar we’ll shed light on news and media consumption trends that have emerged since the pandemic. Which information channels have become more important? What role does social media have in the distribution of news and information as technology accelerates? Why is understanding the data behind the trends so critical for comms leaders? We will be joined by respondents Donnchadh O'Neil, MPRII, MD, Gibney Communications; and Alan Milton, Director of Communications, GAA, who will share their perspectives on the Kantar study.

Part 2 – Steps to smarter communications strategy – How? Wednesday 21 July, 9.30-10.30am

The focus of the second webinar will be the challenges experienced by industry practitioners in building more effective communications strategies. How does data quality impact decision making? How do leaders anticipate using data when forming future strategies? Our respondents in Part 2 will be Fiona Hanna, MPRII, Jago Communications; and Sebastian Hamilton, Revolut, who will discuss how comms leaders can build smarter communications strategies.
