Taking place on the afternoon of Wednesday, 09 June (2pm — 5pm) PRII is organising a half-day internal communications conference looking at these very questions.

The afternoon will feature a mix of casestudy presentations, keynote talks and a panel discussion on the strategic alignment of internal comms, and touching on key areas such as at communicating with a remote / hybrid workforce, Irish employee perspectives on internal comms, and managing uncertainty.

Learn how organisations like Trinity College Dublin and EY pivoted their internal communications I response to the challenges posed by the pandemic from Sally-Anne Fisher, MPRII - Head of Communications at Trinity College Dublin and Olive Stephens, MPRII - Director of Communications with EY Ireland.

Join in a discussion with fellow Internal Comms practitioners on the key challenges you are facing as an Internal Communicator now and what solutions are available. This discussion will be led by with Debbie O’Brien, MPRII - Ervia; Joanna Parsons, MPRII - An Garda Síochána, and Krishna De - National Institute of Health Research, UK and will touch on themes like: supporting line managers managing remote workers;  measurement and promoting the value of internal comms; listening to employees and creativity in your communications.

  • Rachel Miller  — All Things IC

Committed to helping internal communicators thrive in their roles Rachel began her career as a Journalist in 1999. She loved encouraging people to tell their stories and worked her way up on the news desk. Then in search of a fresh challenge and to improve her skills she moved into the field of internal communication in 2003.  She worked in-house for a decade across roles at Visa, Novartis, Visteon, London Overground and Tube Lines as well as working on the agency-side overseeing internal communication accounts for L’Oréal, GSK and Sky.

These positions provided her with experience of communicating globally, with unionised workforces, in regulated environments, setting up functions, working at Board level, communicating with frontline workers and much more.

She co-founded The IC Crowd community @TheICCrowd in 2012 alongside Jenni Field, (who spoke at the PRII Internal Comms conference in 2019), and Dana Leeson.

A Chartered PR Practitioner Rachel has written a blog since 2009 and launched All Things IC in 2013.  She is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC) and she is committed to continuously learning about the wonderful world of Comms.

She has spoken at Facebook, Google and Microsoft, plus conferences organised by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Institute of Internal Communication (IoIC), Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Simply-Communicate, NHS and the UK Government Communication Service.
