Join us on the morning of Tuesday, 06 September (09:30am — 12:30pm) as PRII organises our ever popular half-day internal communications conference looking at these very questions.
With a mix of keynotes and presentations (see below) from experts in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, as well as Communication this year’s event will give members and attendees lots of food for thought and plenty of opportunity to discuss the big internal communications challenges they are currently facing.
Dr Stefan Jooss, Cork University Business School (CUBS)
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced firms to challenge existing management arrangements and adapt their ways of working. Many firms now see hybrid work as the model for the future of work, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote working.
But we need to develop an understanding of how firms manage in a hybrid context.
At our half day Internal Comms Conference on 06 September, Stefan Jooss from Cork University Business School (UCC) will share practical insights, from his recent research, into the challenges, lessons, and implications as we transition to sustainable hybrid working models.
Dr Stefan Jooss is a Lecturer in Management and Programme Director for the Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management at the Cork University Business School (CUBS), University College Cork (UCC). Prior to joining UCC, he was a lecturer at the Technological University Dublin where he completed his PhD in international human resource management.
Emma Finn and Yvonne Costello, Health Service Executive
How would you manage internal communications with 130,000 plus staff working both on the front line and remotely during the largest vaccine roll out programme, at the height of the most severe global pandemic in living memory? And then your IT systems are hacked!
Well join us on 06 September to hear just how the HSE Internal Communications Team worked to keep staff, already under immense pressure in an already challenging environment, informed and engaged when the largest cyber-attack in the State’s history meant access to the normal channels, not to mind infrastructure they would use were not available to them.
What tactics were deployed? What contingencies developed and perhaps most importantly what lessons were learnt?
Head of Internal Communications at the HSE Emma Finn and Internal Communication Manager Yvonne Costello will share their recent experience in a case study presentation at the PRII Internal Communications Half-day conference next month. Make sure to book your place to learn from what is already Awards for Excellence in Public Relations 2022 winning work.
