Communications Executive, Pfizer Ireland, Role Overview

Pfizer is currently recruiting for the role of Communications Executive to join the corporate affairs team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, agile and impactful team that devises leading public affairs, communications, CSR, media relations strategies and initiatives.

The right candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience working in an agency or other fast-paced environment, with strong media skills across traditional, online and social channels. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills and communication skills and have a can-do attitude.

Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director and working closely with the Corporate Affairs Senior Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to gain experience working in a multinational environment with opportunities to travel and an attractive package commensurate with experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of successfully executing and delivering communications and media relations campaigns, working in agency and / or blue chip environments

  • Experience of engaging with all aspects of business communication and media relations

  • Excellent project management skills, including planning and prioritisation skills

  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills

  • A strong, demonstrable record of achieving excellent media results with evidence of established media relationships, preferably in health, news and business

  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, solution oriented individual passionate about the potential for communications to help achieve business goals

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a regulatedworking environment

  • Ability to inspire and influence people at all levels in the organisation and build understanding of communications best practice

  • Understanding and knowledge of communications best practice and ability to critically evaluate effectiveness of communications strategies and campaigns

  • Relevant degree level education
