Irish Communicators Invited to Take Part in the European Communication Monitor

17th Annual Survey on Strategic Communications the European Communication Monitor for Launched throughout Europe

The European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) launched its annual poll on the status and future of strategic communication on Monday February 27, 2017,

Irish communication professionals are invited to join peers from across Europe to participate in the survey at www.communicationmonitor.eu. The survey will be live until the end of March and a critical mass of Irish responses is need to ensure enough data to produce a dedicated Irish report.

The European Communication Monitor addresses highly debated topics such as the challenges of hypermodernity with all its implications and the relevance of Social Bots. Moreover, the visual shift in communications, quality management and benchmarking practices are in the spotlight of the ECM in 2017.

The survey will identify characteristics of excellent communication departments and explore commonalities and differences across Europe. Country-to-country comparisons, including Ireland, and benchmarks of different types of organisations (private and joint-stock companies, non-profit, governmental, agencies, etc.) will make the results relevant for everybody in the field.

The European Communication Monitor is led by professors from renowned universities within the framework of the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA) with Dr John Gallagher FPRII, from DIT being the Irish contact, together with the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD), supported by Prime Research.

With more than 21,000 participants from over 40 countries to date, the annual European Communication Monitor is the largest empirical survey in communication management and public relations worldwide.
