The PRII has launched a new initiative allowing communications professional discuss common challenges and promote best practice among the wider membership. Starting on Tuesday March 21st, the PRII will host a series of lunchtime roundtables discussing a common issue facing members. Each roundtable will be led by a member, with the numbers attending capped at 14 and will operate under the Chatham House Rule ensuring confidentiality. Each attendee will be encouraged to contribute and share their experiences and thoughts.
Arising from the meeting, a summary of the key findings and thoughts will be shared with those that attended and based on that feedback, a finalised version will be shared with the broader PRII membership through the members area. The ultimate idea is to have a bank of resources, informed by fellow professional’s experience, available to members to help them in their day-to-day work.
The roundtables will take place over lunch from 12:45 to 2pm at the PRII’s Offices, 84 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. A light lunch will be provided and there is no cost to attend. These events are only open to PRII members.
The first roundtable will take place on Tuesday, March 21st and will address the issue of Media Monitoring and Syndication. Led by Eoin Kennedy, MPRII of Eoin Kennedy PR the roundtable will address issues around the tools and technology being employed (if any), the cost and time effectiveness of same and what other options are being employed by peers.
