Half-day Workshop — 10:30am to 13:30pm.

The second in this half-day Working With Radio series this workshop will explain the broadcast production process itself and give participants an insight into the minds of radio producers, programmers and presenters.


Taking place on Wednesday, 27 November (10:30am to 1:30pm) this workshop will cover:

  • How newsrooms and show production teams work
  • What will catch the eye - or ear - of producers and presenters
  • How to land your pitch – and understand why when it doesn’t
  • Who to approach and develop long term relationships with
  • How to find the right angle in a story to interest different audiences
  • Whether to go local or national
  • The best stations or programmes to take your story to
